Kevin “B.F.” Burt is a self-taught musician (vocals, harmonica, and guitar) from
Coralville, Iowa, whose smooth and warm vocal presentation creates a mood of relaxed exhilaration.
His serious musicianship is seamlessly coupled with a sense of infectious humor that audiences of all ages seem to enjoy. He has the great ability to build a rapport with his audiences with natural stage presence and his soul-inspired presentation (influences include vocalists Bill Withers and Aaron Neville).
Representing the Central Iowa Blues Society and competing at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this winter, Kevin was the big man of the evening as he won awards in all three categories he was eligible for: Solo/ Duo, Best Solo/Duo Guitarist, and the Lee Oskar Award for Best Harmonica Player. He makes his appearance here on the stages of the Chicago Blues Fest with great momentum following his award-winning performance in Memphis.
